Meeting the New Challenges!
The Institute for Interactive Technology
is primarily concerned with research and applications of interactive
technology, in particular Electronic Tutorial Instruction (ETI).
When some institutions began to offer online degrees, students and
teachers were skeptical, but not anymore. Online degree programs are
now highly regarded for their rigor and relevancy.
Few working adults can easily return to college to pursue further
education because of full-time jobs and family obligations. An online,
asynchronous program is an excellent option. Electronic Tutorial
Instruction (ETI) permits you to study according to your personal
schedule rather than the requirements of a scheduled traditional class
or an online synchronous course.
A master's degree is really an investment in yourself and your future.
The online degrees at The University of Alabama must be among the most
inexpensive in the nation, a real value from an accredited
institution.
Our students come from many professional fields. Some want to improve
their skills with technology, but many more are students in different
corporate positions who find the degree to be good preparation to qualify
them for many career opportunities,
including:
- Organizational trainer
- Online Activities coordinator
- Instructional designer
- Web course developer
- Technical coordinator
- Knowledge Technology Coordinators in Human
Resource Departments
Corporate training exceeded $23 billion in 2005 and continues to grow and is one of the
largest parts of education and training in America. With increasing
fears of terrorism, the costs of travel, and the hassles of traveling
through airports, many companies are relying more on trainers who are
experienced in formal presentations and ETI techniques, what is called
blended learning.
